Offers of appointment, requests for release or re-assignment memoranda shall clearly stipulate the deadline for acceptance/release and may be processed in parallel with reference checks and medical clearance. There may be break in service requirements for certain categories of staff. Travel arrangements may be initiated only after the candidate’s formal acceptance of the offer of appointment, as well as the parent department’s agreement to release and/or Governments’ acceptance to release on a secondment basis. While the offer is dependent on previous steps in the onboarding process, the request for release may be initiated following the candidate’s confirmation of interest.
