Reassignment is a movement of a staff member to a new position within the same entity. This method is used in the case of movement of staff members for an indefinite period, generally as a lateral movement. For inspira OM Module purposes, reassignments can also include promotions, when an internal candidate is selected for a higher position within the entity. Note that in Umoja, the term reassignment is restricted to permanent movements at the same level. Promotions are effected with a different PA (promotion PA), which can be within the same duty station or in a different duty station.
