A candidate is required to respond to an offer of appointment or assignment within a maximum period of seven (7) calendar days of receipt of the offer. If no response is received within this timeframe, the offer may be deemed as withdrawn1 or if the candidate declined the offer, Human Resources will notify the Hiring Manager and Head of Entity and may initiate selection of an alternate candidate. Agreement by the receiving entity should be confirmed in writing for cases where candidates request a delay in reporting date.

1 Lapsed offers are no longer open for acceptance. There is no withdrawal of offer as belated acceptance is not possible. The offer is only valid for acceptance within the specified timeframe.
