1. Email the applicant to inform them that the offer is being withdrawn due to failed Reference Checks.
  2. Update the Activity Status to Failed and ensure to upload the email correspondence as an Attachment for proper auditing.
  3. Click Submit to submit all data entries and changes for this step. The Offer Management Progress Detail page will appear with Step 9: Request for Reference Checks marked as Completed.


Ensure that the applicant received the message informing them that their reference verification failed and that the offer is being withdrawn before making any changes in Manage Disposition Status, as the applicant’s application history will automatically be updated, and this decision is irrevocable.

  1. Only after all the information is attached should the Manage Disposition Status be updated to record that the offer would have to be withdrawn due to the applicant’s checks not being cleared. For inspira job openings, updating the Manage Disposition Status with this status will close the case and the applicant’s application history in inspira is automatically updated. This will allow the selection of another recommended applicant in inspira.
