(Default) Outgoing Emails
1. All emails sent (outgoing) through ATS will be tracked to the timeline
a) All emails sent (outgoing) in Outlook will only be tracked if you manually opt to have that individual email tracked. Click here to learn more about Dynamics 365 App for Outlook Widget.
b) Microsoft Default settings only look at INBOX (incoming) to “auto track” it does not look at SENT “outgoing”
I. You can make a global setting change that will also track SENT (outgoing) emails. Check with your global admin for next steps.
II. Automatically track sent folder items with server-side synchronization
(Default) Incoming Emails
1. Emails (Incoming) in Outlook will be tracked to dynamics based on your personal settings. See options below. Click here to find personalization settings.
a) All email messages. Tracks all incoming messages. If you select this option, Dynamics 365 apps will track junk mail as well as business conversations, so choose this option carefully.
b) Email messages in response to Dynamics 365 email – Response to any outgoing email sent in ATS
c) Email messages from Dynamics 365 apps Leads, Contacts, and Accounts. Tracks email messages only if they originate from someone with a Dynamics 365 lead, contact, or account record.
d) Email messages from Dynamics 365 records that are email enabled. Tracks email messages from all record types (including custom record types) that contain an email address field.
e) No email messages
