Overview

Adding navigation to the user interface is necessary to enable the user to access a prior page or a separate control page for devices. For example, a Home page with macros for turning on a system to an Apple TV device. Once the macro finishes, you will want to navigate the client to a control page for the Apple TV that includes controls for navigating the Apple TV menus. Follow the steps below to navigate between pages within the user interface.

Adding Navigation

1. Make sure that new pages have been created.
2. In the left pane, click the existing page that includes the navigation button.
3. In the center pane, double-click the button that requires navigation.
4. In the Actions area of the center pane, click the + symbol.
5. Select the Add Navigation option.
6. Refer to the Properties window.

Editing the Navigation Type

Select one of the following Navigation types:

• To a Specific Page – navigates the interface to a pre-defined page. Select this option for the example above of executing a macro then navigating to the control page of the Apple TV.
  To define a specific page:
  1. From the Define Page drop down list, select the page
• Back – takes the user back to the previously used area of the interface. In the above example, you would add a back button to the Apple TV page to enable the user to return to the Home page with the macros.
  

Shortcut for Creating Navigation

Drag the destination page from the left pane and drop in on to the relevant button in the center pane.
A navigation link to the selected page is created for the button.
