The Distance Point to plane function will allow a user to see how far a particular point is from the plane of reference. For example, this function may be used to check the level cabinet boxes, or the plumbness of a vertical wall.
To use this function, you must select a 2D folder with a plane applied. All levels will be given in relation to the plane of the folder, whether a Horizontal, Vertical, or Free Plane.

To use this function:
Select the desired 2D folder from the Project Explorer.
Select Distance point to plane from the ‘Measurement’ ribbon, or from the Flexijet Touchscreen.
Aim the Flexijet laser and measure points where you choose. The function will remain open to allow for additional point to be measured until closed. When you have completed measuring the points, you may end the function by pressing ‘cancel’ on the laser, or ‘escape’ on your computer.
The points will display in the folder, along with colour-coding for the high and low (Min and Max) points.
*TIP: To organize your elevations separate from your geometry, duplicate your folder by right-clicking and selecting ‘Duplicate’ before using ‘Distance Point to Plane’. These 2 folders can be seen at the same time by clicking on the checkbox next to the other folder to turn on visibility to elements in that folder.
