Flexijet 3D has a built-in tilt sensor. The tilt sensor detects the inclination of the laser distance measurement device to allow for the Auto-Leveling function. As a result, the tripod can be set to close to level, but it is not needed to be adjusted perfectly to level as the Flexijet’s internal calibration is used for fine leveling.
Tilt Monitoring uses the tilt sensor to sense for changes to the level of the Flexijet 3D while in use. This is useful in scenarios where the surface on which the Flexijet is setup is unstable and has the potential to shift, such as a boat or a flooring surface that has the potential to shift. This function is not usually required for the measuring of countertop surfaces and can be turned off at the operator’s discretion
Flexijet will display the Tilt Monitoring window each time it is powered on, and this function will be turned on by default.
The Tilt monitoring function can be turned off on this screen by sliding the red slider at the top left of the window to the off position.
The sensitivity of the Tilt Monitoring function can be adjusted as required, depending on the operator’s needs.
If movement greater than the selected setting is detected, then the laser will display a warning notification.
