The Maximum Tolerance function shows the maximum tolerance of a polyline compared to 2 straight lines, by creating these 2 straight lines. This can be aligned to the polyline or to the coordinate system (Horizontal/Vertical).
This function can only be used on open polylines. For a group of lines, first convert to a Polyline using the ‘Single Elements to Polyline’ tool (See ‘Polylines’ for more information)
To Create/show the Maximum Tolerance lines:
- Select the Maximum Tolerance tool from the drop-down under ‘Polyline>Maximum tolerance’
- Enter ‘1’ for Aligned, and ‘2’ for Parallel to Axis. Confirm your selection with ‘Enter’ key or ‘Confirm’
- Now, select the polyline
- The maximum and minimum lines will now be displayed as colored lines.
