Offset Plane

A folder with a defined plane can be offset exactly parallel to its current location using the ‘Offset Plane’ command.

This function is found by right-clicking on a folder in the Project Explorer and navigating to Plane>Offset Plane.
To offset a plane:

1. Right click on the desired plane and select Plane>Offset plane
2. Enter the value by which to offset the plane. A positive value will move the plane towards the screen, while a negative value will move it ‘away’ from the view in the screen.
   

!Note: this function will move all elements assigned to the folder, including 3d elements such as measurement points. Consider duplicating the folder and contents using the ‘Duplicate folder’ command prior to using this command to preserve the original position of these 3D elements.
