Approval, Confirmations and Endorsements

Process governance is an important feature of the EPC Web App that enables responsible improvement of business items, processes and activities. Process governance provides various checkpoints throughout the business improvement process that assure that the individuals responsible are consulted and sign off on improvements made.

System Administrators and EPC Modelers, on the back end, can assign Roles and Resources as approvers for any item or process within the EPC. If changes are made to these items, the individuals assigned as approvers, will have to sign off (or “approve”) on the change prior before the change can be implemented.

The EPC provides 2 kinds of approval cycles:

1. Parallel
2. Serial
   

Within both of these approval cycles, users will be provided with visual representations of the changes being made. Users can compare and contrast the proposed change with the status quo and select the alternative they believe will be best for the organization.

*Newly created objects can automatically inherit their parent’s approval or endorsement cycle with the INHERIT_APPROVAL_CREATE configuration in the System Admin -> Advanced

Review Cycles

Review cycles provide organizations with an easy and automatic way to keep their objects reviewed and updated regularly based on the review frequency defined in the Governance module. Thus, organizations prevent their content and data from becoming outdated in addition to ensuring that business elements are always compliant with corporate standards.

Training Assignments

The Training Application in Digital Business Platform (DBP), Interfacing’s other main software, is integrated with EPC, allowing users or trainees to find and access their pending trainings in the To Do module or directly from the object requiring a training.
