The Blind Draw and Scramble Formats are options that a tournament can offer for players who are not able to find a partner.

1. For a blind draw event, players sign up individually and the system creates the matchups when the event is verified. You must have an even number of players or one will be left out of the matchups. On the first verification screen, you will see the matchups that were created. You can select the Randomize button to create new matchups or move individual players to match them up with others on the list. For a mixed double blind draw, you must have an even number of men and women.

2. For a scramble event, players sign up individually. It can be a Men’s, Women’s or Coed event. The system will create a competition where players partner with each of the others in their player group against another team consisting of two different players. Depending on the number of players signed up, they will play 3, 4, or 6 games. There must be a minimum of 4 players in a scramble event. Scores are recorded for the individual players in each game and totaled up at the end to determine the winners. Scramble events with 8 or 9 players may be split into pools. Scramble events with 10 or more players will be split into pools. The Tournament Director may choose to have a playoff for the pool winners where the top players will be matched with each other to create 4 playoff teams.

*The configuration of pools and the assignment of players to pools for scramble events will be contingent on the number of players signed up for the event. This is done during the verification process.
