The Follow Console toolbar button toggles to enable or disable the Preset Documentation views (both ‘Preset’ and ‘Fixture’ views) following the console (EOS Family and grandMA 2 only). The console must be connected via OSC for the EOS Family consoles or via Tel-Net for the grandMA 2 console.
EOS Family Consoles
The Moving Light Assistant channel list selection will follow the channel selection on the console. Channels can be selected on the console command line as normal, for example,
Chan 1 Thru 5 - 4 Enter
Channels selected via a group will also work. Using the console Next and Last buttons will step through the channel selection as expected.
The selected preset in the Moving Light Assistant preset list can be changed when the following command is entered on the console command line:
Preset 5
Entering the following on the console command line:
Group Preset 5 Enter
Will select preset 5 in the Moving Light Assistant preset list and select all the channels in the channel list for that preset.
Clearing the channel selection on the console will also clear the selected channels in the Moving Light Assistant channel list.
In the Preset Documentation ‘Fixture view’, the displayed channel will be selected channel on the console. If a range of channels are selected, it will display the first channel in the range. The displayed channel is not affected when the channel selection is cleared in the console.
grandMA2 Console
The Moving Light Assistant channel list selection will follow the channel selection on the console. Channels can be selected on the console command line as normal, for example,
Channel 1 Thru 5 - 4 Please
Currently this feature will only work with channel numbers. Support for fixture numbers will follow in a later release.
