The Moving Light Assistant installation includes several files and folders within the Moving Light Assistant folder. Below is a brief explanation of their uses.

grandMA2 Support

To export data from the grandMA2 console, a macro needs to be imported into the console. This folder contains a folder gma2 that should be copied to a USB stick to allow the macro to be imported into the console. See Exporting grandMA 2 Data for details.

Help Folder

Any files in this folder will appear in the application’s Help menu. The user guide, release notes, documentation etc. will be located in this folder.

Library Files

FixtureProfiles.plib

This file is the application’s fixture profile library. The library supplied includes a large selection of commonly used fixtures. Any fixtures you create will be added to this file and the library is accessible to any show documents you open or create.

ConsoleProfiles.clib

This file is the application’s console library. At present, the console profiles are not used by the application.

GoboLibrary.glib

This is the application’s gobo library. The library contains the gobo artwork for use in the gobo and colour wheel graphics.

Lightwright® Automated Actions

In this folder are some automated actions that should be added to the ‘Automated Actions’ folder of your Lightwright installation, if you wish to export and import data easily between Moving Light Assistant and Lightwright®. Note that there a separate folders containing the automated actions for Lightwright® 5 or Lightwright® 6.

Report Layout Templates

In this folder are the templates (.lhf documents) used for generating reports to print, or PDF documents, within the application.

Scripts

This folder contains scripts that allows some user interface actions to be automated, as well as communication with the lighting console. Script files are plain text files (.txt).
