Once Moving Light Assistant has been successfully installed, launch the application.
When it is first launched on a computer it has not been previously installed on, you will have to enter a license key if you want to enable all the features of the application. If no license key is entered, the application will default to Demo/Reader mode.
License keys are not platform specific.
If no license has been purchased or entered, Moving Light Assistant will default to Reader mode.
Reader mode allows any show file provided by another user to be opened and the full contents viewed. Reports may be generated and viewed on screen, but printing, either to a printer or PDF file is disabled. Wheel images may not be dragged in to other applications.
It is not possible to edit the show file or to import console data.
The Student License enables all the features of Moving Light Assistant.
Student Licenses have an expiry date of three years from the date the license was issued. When this period has expired, the application will default to Reader mode. Reports may be printed, and wheel loads dragged into other applications, but they will be watermarked to identify them as having been produced on a Student Licence. Show documents are not watermarked, so a show document can be produced with a Student License and will not be watermarked when opened with a Personal or Institutional License.
With a Student Licence, Moving Light Assistant may be registered on up to two computers, but may only be used on one machine at any time.
The Personal License enables all the features of Moving Light Assistant. There are no fixture limits, expiry dates, or watermarks.
With a Personal Licence, Moving Light Assistant may be registered on up to two computers, but may only be used on one machine at any time.
The Institutional License enables all features of Moving Light Assistant. There are no fixture limits, expiry dates, or watermarks.
With an Institutional License, Moving Light Assistant may be registered on up to 10 computers, and may be used on five machines at any one time.
