If the image import settings were set to ‘Source’ or ‘High’ in preferences, or the cameras image quality settings were set to a high resolution when capturing images, you can end up with very large show documents. This can in some cases cause Moving Light Assistant to be quite slow in the Preset Documentation view.
A new item has been added to the Edit
menu that allows for images within the show document to be resized. Generally speaking, a photograph with a width of around 1500 pixels is adequate for most documentation needs. It is only possible to resize images while in the Preset Documentation ‘Presets’ or ‘Cue List views’.
Choose Resize Images...
from the Edit
menu.
In the ‘Resize Images dialog’ you can choose to resize the currently displayed image in either view. Alternatively you can resize all images for the selected preset/cue, or all the preset or cue images in the show document. There is an option when resizing preset images to also resize the channel images.
The ‘Do not resize images smaller then…’ checkbox allows you to set a minimum size that any images will be resized to. The aspect ratio of the image will always be maintained, so resized images may not be exactly the size of the minimum width and height, but will not be less.
After resizing images, it is wise to Clean Up Show Document
from within the File
menu. This will remove the empty space from the document created by resizing the images. If this is not done, you will notice that when saved, the size of the show document will not have changed.
