Developing and participating in an active family of communities of practice (CoP) has and will continue to revolutionize the way we at ACPE: The Standard for Spiritual Care and Education, approach our learning, teaching and research; expand our knowledge base; and, disseminate information for the professional well-being of others. The intent of embracing a family of communities is to place students and educators alike at the heart of learning and knowledge, and allowing the wealth of resources to encircle them. Developing the ACPE CoP program has been a very rewarding process. We hope this manual will ease the development of your CoP and that it will help you and your CoP members to experience as much satisfaction as we, the ACPE Professional Well-Being Committee, have enjoyed.
