The following are suggested leadership roles. CoPs may have more or fewer leadership positions depending on the needs of the community.

  • Convener: The Convener is the only role that is required by ACPE. The Convener is the contact point for all communications from ACPE and the Professional Well-Being Committee. The Convener is responsible for submitting CoP applications, requests for funding, and annual reports about the activities of the CoP.
  • Communications Coordinator: The Communications Coordinator is responsible for maintaining an up-to-date membership contact list (e.g. email) and sending CoP related communications to membership.
  • Chaplain: The Chaplain tracks pastoral needs in the lives of CoP members and organizes the CoP’s response.
  • Membership and Welcome: The Membership Coordinator tracks the CoP’s membership and communicates group norms, activities, and expectations to all new members.
