Phase II

Phase II of the New Certification Process is defined by the continued development of the CEC’s portfolio, integrative work, and the demonstration of increasing competence and independence. Throughout this phase, the CEC will, in addition to their work and learning in their local center

• complete the Core Curriculum Webinars for Phase II
• supervise independently, while under supervision
• participate in a formal review of their portfolio ensure all Phase II Competencies are met
• participate in the Integration Interview for certification.

!Please note that it is the applicant’s responsibility to complete the “What/Where is your evidence?” part of the Phase II Competencies Assessment Form. To do this properly, the applicant must create hyperlinks within SharePoint to the specific materials and/or indicate specific page numbers and if appropriate, paragraph location of the evidence.

The typical time frame for Phase II is expected to be approximately 2 years.
