Distance Map

Morphology > Distance Map

Generates a grayscale distance map of the current segmentation where each pixel is colored by its euclidean distance to the nearest empty pixel. White = zero distance, black = 255 distance.

The original distance map with floating-point precision is stored alongside the displayed image, where zero distance = 0.0. By saving the distance map into the companion image, this floating-point version is available for measurements with Feature Measurement: Intensity Mean/Sum/StdDev
