Reduces the layer to just two colors. You can specify the colors, and the threshold changes the emphasis of the effect.

  • Preset: Choose from a variety of built-in presets, each of which gives you a predefined set of values for the effect controls. These can be used as-is, or as a starting point for further adjustments.
  • Threshold: Specify the tonal value at which the image will be split.
  • Color 1: Choose a color for all pixels whose value is below the threshold. You can use the eyedropper to select a color from the layer, or click the swatch to open a color picker and choose any color you prefer. You can also manually enter the color values for the red, green, and blue channels.
  • Color 2: Choose a color for all pixels whose value is above the threshold. You can use the eyedropper to select a color from the layer, or click the swatch to open a color picker and choose any color you prefer. You can also manually enter the color values for the red, green, and blue channels.
  • Source: Select which channel of the source image will be used to generate the threshold values.
