Creates a glowing edge around a layer’s alpha channel. This is particularly useful for effects such as neon lights, lasers, and lightsabers.
- Preset: Choose from a variety of built-in presets, each of which gives you a predefined set of values for the effect controls. Presets can be used as-is, or as a starting point for further adjustments.
- Intensity: Adjusts the overall brightness of the glow.
- Color: Choose a color for the glow. You can use the eyedropper to choose a color from the layer, or click the swatch to open a color picker and choose any color you prefer. You can also manually enter the color values for the red, green, and blue channels.
- Expansion: Controls how far beyond the edges of the layer the glow extends.
- Radius: Adjust the softness of the glow edge, by altering the radius of the blur applied to the glow.
- Blend: Select the blend mode used to composite the rays onto the underlying layer.
- Clamp to Edge: Enable this option to ensure the glow extends to the borders of the frame.
