K-Touch 3.2 released in April 2016 introduced a new feature called global macros. This article describes what global macros are.
- What are global macros?
- A global macro is a list of actions, commands, delays, etc. that are not tied directly to an event like a button push or a feedback. Global macros exist at a higher level and can be called by an event to be executed. These macros are called global because the same macro can be called by multiple events across multiple handsets.
- Why would you want to use global macros?
- Global macros are useful anytime that the same set of actions are reused over multiple button presses. This makes it easier to create and maintain our K-Touch projects
