K-Touch 3.2 released in April 2016 introduced a new feature called global macros. This article describes what global macros are.

  1. What are global macros?
  • A global macro is a list of actions, commands, delays, etc. that are not tied directly to an event like a button push or a feedback. Global macros exist at a higher level and can be called by an event to be executed. These macros are called global because the same macro can be called by multiple events across multiple handsets.
  1. Why would you want to use global macros?
  • Global macros are useful anytime that the same set of actions are reused over multiple button presses. This makes it easier to create and maintain our K-Touch projects
