Gateways and Devices

Devices in builder relate actions (power on, power off, play, pause, volume +, etc) to specific devices (Sharp TV, Kramer Switcher, Lutron Lighting, etc.).

Gateways in the mobile app, define the IP connection between the mobile device and the physical devices being controlled. Behind the scenes, gateways can also re-format commands to the necessary syntax for easy use with 3rd party hardware.

In the app, devices are assigned to gateways so the commands assigned in the builder, make it to the proper physical devices for successful control.
