What trade or activities do I have to control outside of my home to avoid annoying other residents or becoming a nuisance?

Here are some examples of what you can do to avoid annoying other residents or becoming a nuisance. Do not have high wattage or glaring outside lighting. Avoid using outside speakers, horns, whistles, sirens, bells, amplifiers, or other sound devices, except such devices may be used exclusively for security purposes.

Can we burn trash? What about storing stuff outside of our residence?

You cannot burn trash outside of your residence or anywhere on Community property. Also, you cannot accumulate or store litter, lumber, scrap metals, refuse, bulk materials, waste, new or used bedding materials, or trash of any other kind around your residence or another part of the Community.

Operate a home-based business

You may use your home for a “no-impact home-based business”, as defined in §1 IB-111.1 of the Maryland Homeowners Association Act, provided that you notify the Association, in writing, at least thirty (30) days prior to the opening of the no-impact home-based business and you cannot use Community Property in connection with any permitted no-impact home-based business.
