Garages may be either detached or attached to the dwelling unit.
The garage shall be designed as though an integral part of the dwelling unit (specifically including dwelling units constructed on pilings) and shall incorporate the design, materials, and colors of the dwelling unit Garage roof material and color shall match those of their dwelling units.
Individual 8’ or 9’ doors are preferred for each garage space.
The maximum garage door height is 9’.
The Architectural Control Committee may consider special exceptions.
The appearance of front-facing garages must be diminished by either recessing the garage a minimum of 2’0” into the facade and/or by adding an architectural element over the opening (such as a trellis or roof) or as otherwise approved by the Architectural Control Committee.
Garages accessed from the rear of the lot and the side of a corner lot may be located in line with the front plane of the dwelling unit.
A minimum setback of 18 feet (from the street providing vehicular access to the dwelling unit) is required where side-loaded garages are located on corner lots.
