Just as in Excel you might have different workbooks for different purposes, in Cubix you can have different models for different purpose. Perhaps a model for monthly financial consolidation and reporting and a separate one for budgeting or forecasting. (Equally, you could combine both functions into one Cubix model).
Models may be local and private to you, existing only on your laptop or PC, or they may be shared on a network location where multiple Cubix users can access them.
Each model has its own structure and definitions, its own calculation logic and importantly its own data.
Model MenuOpen A Model
Before you can work with any of the data in a model, it must be opened. This establishes the connection between that particular model’s database and Excel.
Click on the Open icon and select the model you wish to open.
In the log In screen, enter the user name and password for the model.
