Format of Export/Import Files

Data exported from, and data to be imported to Cubix must follow a certain format. There should be a [HEADER] section which gives information about the dimensions and describes what data is in which column in the [DATA] section. The [DATA] section itself contains all the main cell values exported or to be imported. Then there will be a number of other [SECTIONS] containing journal, ICB, cell expansion or cell text data, depending on what was selected or on what is being imported.

*When importing a file from another source, a good tip to get the correct header section, is to first of all create an export file in the format you want to import and then copy and paste the header from the export into your import file. You may need to tweak it slightly, to make sure the columns are aligned with the header numbers for example, but this will give a good starting position.

After the header comes the main [DATA] section. This will contain the references and values in the column order as described in the header.
