Calculate and Consolidate

Calculate

When viewing data in browsers, as long as the browser has been set to Auto Calculate, any calculations required for the data to be displayed will be performed. However, a browser may have a limited view, perhaps just one entity, so any calculations required to other entities will not be automatically performed unless that other entity is selected for viewing in a browser.

When many changes to underlying data have been made, perhaps after importing a data file, rather than having to call each entity into a browser view, calculation of data can be manually controlled using the Calculate option.

Calculate Entities

Select the entities and versions you wish to calculate and click OK.

Consolidate

The Calculate option will works for input level entities. i.e. those entities where data has been entered or loaded. To perform consolidations of the data up to and including the top level company, choose Consolidate

Consolidate Entities

The consolidate option, only shows consolidated type entities. Select the entity to which you wish to consolidate and the versions and click OK. Note that the consolidate option will also perform any required calculations on underlying input type entities.

*If you want to perform a full calculate and consolidate of one or more versions, use the Consolidate options and select all entities and whichever version(s) you require. Cubix will check all entities in the model, but only perform calculations where they are required. This is a simple way to ensure all data is fully up to date.
