Locking and Unlocking Data

Cubix includes data locking and unlocking functionality which assists in maintaining data integrity.
The Lock feature can be used to prevent changes being made to results after they have been finalised.

To Lock Data

To lock the data in Cubix, select Lock on the ribbon. Then select the entities, versions and views you wish to lock and click OK.

!If the model uses validation rules and/or Authorise & Accept control, data can only be locked if it passes validation and has been fully authorised and accepted.

In addition to the user controlled lock, Actual version data is automatically locked by the system when a user performs a Current Actual Period roll (Roll CAP).

To Unlock Data

To unlock data, click the Unlock button on the ribbon.
In the Security Unlock screen, select the entities, versions and views to be unlocked and click OK.
When unlocking the Actual version, you have the choice of unlocking all periods up to the current period, or just the Current Actual Period (CAP) by ticking Unlock CAP Only.
