Generating A Default Model With No Changes

This guide will take you through the process of creating a default model in Cubix and generating a new empty database.

• Start Cubix
• From the Cubix ribbon in Excel, select Model Designer
• On the model designer main screen screen select New
• Enter a name and optional description for your model
  
• Enter a Designer Username. This is the username that will be used when editing and maintaining the model.
• Click Save. Your new model will appear listed on the screen.

• Hover over the model tile and from the right hand side, select Edit

• Type the Designer Username to log into the model
• Click on the Generate button
• In the Generate Options window make sure that Create new database and overwrite existing data is selected

• Click OK

When the generate process completes, close the log window, save and close the model and exit from model designer.
