Cubix Model Designer

Overview

Before you can load or enter any data and perform any analysis and reporting, you need to design and build your model. The model designer is where you create your Cubix business models.

Each model consists of 8 dimensions that together make up the structure for all the data held in the Cubix database.

The model designer takes you through each dimension in turn, allowing you to set them up with all the relevant items needed to meet your reporting, consolidation and analysis requirements.

The Dimensions

Each model will have the following dimensions:

• Entities
• Variables
• Products
• Versions
• Time
• View
• Mode
• Currency View

In addition to the key dimensions, you can set up calculation rules, currency conversions and if necessary, advanced financial features such as journal processing and inter-company balance management.
