To raise a journal based on a template, select the Create Journals option from the menu ribbon.
Click Template to display the Journal Templates dialog box (shown below), showing those templates available for the Entity and Version combination chosen.
If there are any predefined templates available, grouped in sets, select the appropriate set.
Select the Use Description checkbox to toggle between descriptions and short names for the templates.
Select the template that you want to apply, and click Apply to have that template journal create the journals.
To see the Details of the journal before you create it, you can click Detail to display the lines of the journal template
When you click Apply the template dialog box will close and return you to the journal status window. The new journal entries will be listed.
