Nominating an Input File
The first step is to nominate an Input file. This file will need to have an Input Format defined and then be mapped.
To Nominate an Input File
- Choose Add from the main Channel screen.
- Locate and select the appropriate text file and choose Open.
This will return you to the Channel Process dialog box, with the name of the file you selected as an entry in the ‘Data Files for Processing’ box. You will notice that all the options below are greyed out. Highlight the filename to indicate that you wish to process it and the options will become available to you, enabling you to continue. This will also place your chosen filename in the ‘Input File…’ area.
