JA Equipment Register

SLSQ is asking clubs to fill out the below JotForm for all currently non approved equipment being utilised in your junior programs. Anything from Hula Hoops to Tug of War ropes. This will allow SLSQ to put together a register & aim to progress with an approvals process for any new equipment in the future.

Under 8 Boards

U8 Nippers are permitted to use Boards at both midweek training and Nipper days. Nippers must complete the U9 Preliminary Evaluations in order to utilise this from January 1, 2024.

Age Manager Lanyards

If clubs want to order Age Manager Lanyards, clubs are required to fill in the Junior Activities Lanyards Order Form and send this to the SLSQ Junior Activities Coordinator

Aqua Trampoline / Biscuits / Pontoons

If any club is using equipment as listed above, we ask that you please currently cease the use of this immediately.

At the SLSQ Membership Services Committee meeting on Friday 26th and Saturday 27th May 2023 equipment use at junior activities was discussed.

As a result of these discussions the Committee is undertaking a project to determine all the ‘non-lifesaving’ items/equipment that are currently used during junior activities e.g., hula hoops.

From this research the Junior Activities Advisory Panel will create a master list of approved equipment.

This list will then be approved by the Membership Services Committee and added as a Junior Activities Resource.
