Entry Closure

Clubs need to check and double check when entries close because once it closes late entry fee’s come into place and there will be no exceptions to this rule. Until late entries close clubs still have the chance to make changes and add extra teams if the competitors are in the carnival but any new competitor added to the carnival will be a late fee. Generally, after late entries close no more changes can be made until marshalling on the day and no new competitors can be entered under any circumstances. Please respect these closing dates as they have been selected for a reason and if you want important information to be sent out to you on time then you need to get your entries in on time. It is also important that the Club checks the carnival entry details for each carnival as the rules on late entries and closing dates may vary from each carnival.

Checking Entries

Before competitors are entered into a carnival, clubs need to check whether each competitor is eligible to compete in the events they are being entered in. It’s the clubs responsibility to make sure they are abiding by the current surf sports manual and competition rules. After entries have been completed Clubs need to check and double check that their entries are correct.

Entry Problems

If clubs are having any problems with entries or SEMS please contact the Sport Administrator before entries close so the problem can be fixed. Please don’t leave it until after entries close as it becomes harder to resolve as late entry fees will be involved. When a club submits their entries online they are endorsing that those competitors are eligible to compete in there selected events and if this is found to be incorrect as SLSQ does conduct random checks then the club could face disciplinary action.
