12. How long will it take to get my Blue Card?

The linking process is conducted by SLSQ each business day, Monday to Friday. Any survey submissions received over the weekend will be processed on the following Monday.

Once you have completed the final step with Blue Card Services, the processing time may vary. Most applications with no criminal history or concerns are processed within 28 business days. Blue Cards are sent by post and may take up to 21 days to arrive.

You do not need to have received your physical Blue Card before you can start your volunteer or work role, but you must have received confirmation that your application has been approved.

To avoid delays, start your application well in advance of beginning your volunteer or work role.
