Surf Life Saving relies heavily upon the efforts and enthusiasm displayed by its members. Members are our best resource and we work hard to ensure that our members are recognised for their efforts. Throughout the association we recognise our members in different ways from club through to national levels.
One of the most important things we can do for our members and supporters is to understand the kinds of recognition that they value, and to work towards making that level of recognition possible.
Each of the awards are designed to reward and recognise the efforts of those who devote countless hours, year after year to provide a safe and enjoyable environment and to help us work towards our vision of ‘zero preventable deaths and injuries on Queensland beaches’.
Recognition is available for all SLSQ volunteers, associates, supporters and is an integral part of maintaining commitment and support to lifesaving as a whole.
SLSQ also conduct an annual Awards of Excellence Gala Dinner to celebrate the achievements for the season and a selection of awards are then progressed to the national level for their recognition.
