39. Member Protection Notes in Surfguard

40. What do the Member Protection Notes mean?

You may see notation pertaining to the Blue Card linking status of a member in the Protection Notes on their Surfguard profile.

Surfguard Membership Protection Note Meaning
Date – SLSQ BC verified. (Initial) Member’s Blue Card has been verified on this date and by this team member
Date – SLSQ BC linked. Member application to be finalised with BCS. (Initial) Member’s Blue Card has been linked on this date but the application still needs to be completed by the member on the Blue Card Portal

It is important to note that a member will be de-linked automatically if their Blue Card expires before submitting a renewal application with Blue Card Services and they will need to be linked again.

41. Can I update member’s Blue Card information on Surfguard?

Member’s Blue Card details need to be linked with Surf Life Saving Queensland in the Blue Card Portal before their Working with Children details are updated in Surfguard.

Please contact bluecards@lifesaving.com.au if you need clarification for a Surfguard update.

42. I have submitted a Members Blue Card information through the Survey, how can I record I have completed this?

You can write the date the member’s details were submitted into the SLSQ survey and the account/Blue Card number in the Member Protection Notes in Surfguard for your own documentation purposes.

E.g. DD/MM/YY – BC Survey Submitted – Acc/BC No ######## (Your Initials)
