Any surf club in Queensland is required to keep it in a clean and tidy condition, in line with all Workplace Health and Safety Regulations.
The first aid room must meet all the requirements as outlined in the Patrol Operations Manual.
This means, keeping all walkways clear, bathrooms clean and working & any other additional rooms, accessible to members, for safe practice.
Any club that has a clubhouse or area designated for club members, is recommended to display any SLSQ information.
Items like CPR & First Aid posters, are an expectation to be in a visual spot and easily accessible to read for both members of the public and clubbies.
Other information from multiple departments (Peer Support, Lifesaving, Education, Membership) is not expected to be displayed anywhere around the club house, however SLSQ encourages that the information gets disseminated in another form.
