*Please note that, at times, the requirements of SLSA and SLSQ may differ – the affiliated Clubs of SLSQ are required to adhere to the requirements of Queensland.

Dates

Season Dates

Patrols commence and finish dates:

• North Queensland – 1st Saturday in April – Last Sunday in November
• Rest of the State – 1st Saturday of QLD September School Holidays – Monday (Labour Day Public Holiday) in May

Nipper commence and finish dates:

Refer to individual clubs for Nipper commence and finish dates.

Membership

• All Nipper members must be registered for the season using the SLSA Approved Membership Form/Renewal or Application via the SLSA Members Portal.
• For renewing members – ALL memberships should be processed no later than 31 October XXXX. Please note, all members who are not registered for the current season will be automatically archived at midnight on this date.

Junior Transfers

!Important note about Junior Activities Transfers:
SLSQ BY-LAW 14.7 – PROTECTION OF JUNIOR ACTIVITY MEMBERS (UNDER 6 TO UNDER 14)
(a) This Regulation recognises the undesirability of the practise of club representatives approaching Junior Activity Members and/or their parents, with a proposal to change clubs.
(b) This Regulation recognises the desirability of encouraging the maintenance of club loyalties among Junior Activity Members and their parents and protecting smaller clubs from the loss of Junior Activity Members to clubs with a more dominant place in SLSA competition.
© It seeks to encourage and regulate the recruitment, development and retention of Junior Activity Members by clubs and as such directly or indirectly offering and/or providing financial arrangements as defined in Regulation 15.7, in return for, or on account of, a Junior Activity Member changing clubs, is deemed to be a breach of the Regulations by the Club and/or club representative making the offer and/or providing the financial arrangements.

Fees

SLSQ Junior Registration Fees for Nippers are sent out by SLSQ at the beginning of each season.

All Junior Registration payments are based on figures from the previous season. All clubs are required to pay SLSQ a junior registration fee, and these are made annually. The fee for this season will cover the current Season.
