Edit template

Click the tools button to edit a template. A template can either be of the type text, message (text) or message (html). You can change the type, subject (if the template is a message) and the text.

Placeholders

Placeholders are special words enclosed in square brackets, that “hold” the place for dynamic data. The templates use placeholders.

Here is a list of the most important placeholders:

• Subject
• Description
• Solution
• RequestNumber
  

E.g., you can use relationships to show the name of the user that created the request:

• User.FullName
• User.FirstName
• User.LastName
• User.Title
• User.Department
  

There are also some global placeholders:

• SelfServiceUrl (inserts the text to the Selfservice URL). {{ SelfServiceUrl }}#/request/{( RequestNumber }} creates a URL directly to the request in Selfservice.
