Stations are used when employees are required to clock in from a stationary device at the location, rather than using their mobile phone. Any device that supports a modern web browser can be setup as a Station. e.g. Windows PC, Chromebook, iPad, Mac, etc.

There are two types of Stations:

1. Kiosks Mode. Kiosk mode is for stations that are located in a common area (e.g. front lobby desk) and are used by multiple employees to clock in and out. Anytime an employee walks up to the kiosk and clicks on one of the action buttons (Check In, Check Out, Start Break, End Break) they will be prompted to identify themselves, either by selecting their name from a list of authorized employees, or by entering their employee PIN. Once the employee clocks in, the station returns to the kiosk home screen to allow the next employee to use the station. This makes it so that no employee-specific information is visible on a communal kiosk.

If an employee checks in via kiosk, they will be able to view their personal information though the employee web app. This includes shift summaries, the ability to add checkpoints and reports, etc. Employees will not be able to start/end breaks or end their shift from the employee portal if they have checked in from a kiosk.

2. Personal Mode. Personal mode is for stations that will only be used by one employee at a time. Because the station is only used by one employee at a time, the station is able to display employee-specific information like their schedule information, timesheet history, etc. The station is locked to that employee until that employee clocks out. This is unlike the Kiosk mode where employee-specific information can only be used to clock in, take breaks, and clock out. Once one employee has clocked out, a new employee is able to use this station.
