You can create a new announcement by either using the icon in the upper right corner or use the in the lower left corner of the Announcements section of the portal. You can also create an announcement from anywhere in the Admin Portal using the announcement icon in the upper right corner.

This will bring you to the Add Announcement form where you can enter the Announcement Name, Start/End Date, Custom Message, and other details.

Highlights of This Form:

Check In Announcement

Name
Here, you can enter the name of the announcement. This will Not be displayed to the employee.

Start/End Date
Here, you can select the start and end date of your announcement. This will determine how long the announcement will be visible for.

Message
Any message you create will be heard over the phone or seen in the employee web portal during check in.

Target Employees
Here, you can link an employee to an announcement. You can select individual employees or multiple employees to receive the announcement.

Target Job Site
Here, you can link a job to an announcement. You can select individual jobs or multiple jobs to receive the announcement.

Announcement Options
There are 2 announcement options:

  • Always Play: When enabled, this announcement will repeat each time an employee clocks in.
  • Require Acknowledgement: When enabled, this announcement will require the employee to acknowledge they have heard the message.

Files (advanced options)
Here, you can attach files to an announcement. Any files that you attach to an announcement will be displayed in the announcement when employees clock in via employees web portal.

Scheduled Announcement

Actions
There are 2 types of scheduled announcement options:

  • Custom Message: This announcement type allows you to send a custom message to your employees
  • Send Employee Schedule : This announcement type will send your targeted employees a link to their schedule via the employee web portal

Send Immediately
When enabled, this announcement will be immediately sent when saved or updated

Save As Template
When enabled, this announcement will be saved as a template which can be sent, rescheduled, or modified for later use.

Target Employees
Here, you can link an employee to an announcement. You can select individual employees or multiple employees to receive the announcement.

Target Job Site
Here, you can link a job to an announcement. You can select individual jobs or multiple jobs to receive the announcement.
