Sometimes, you may want to dig into the details of a time entry to determine why an employee clocked in the way they did.

You may want answers to questions like:

  • Did they call from the wrong number?
  • Did they enter the wrong job code?
  • Did they block their GPS?
  • Did someone alter their time entry?

You can view the details of a time entry in two places:
1. Details In/Out
2. Audit Log

The Details In/Out column shows at a glance how the employee clocked in as follows:
— employee clocked in/out by cell phone call
— employee clocked in/out by cell phone call
— employee clocked in/out using the employee web portal
— employee clocked in/out manually by an administrator

Click on any of these icons to see detailed information that comes straight from our server logs. It displays many details about the phone call along with other system information that can be useful in determining why a time entry looks the way it does. See screen shot below.

You can navigate directly to the Audit Log record to see a history of any changes to this time entry using the icon in the actions column as shown below.
