Purpose:
The Surf Life Saving Queensland Administration Operations Manual (AOM) is designed as a reference tool for Club Administrators/Office Managers, Club Secretary’s and Club Management Committees to help fulfil their responsibilities, resulting in better managed clubs, delivering more sustainable and higher quality services to their members and the wider community.

Who:
Members within your club who actively participate in the design, implementation, management and evaluation of its activities will benefit from the online Administration Operations Manual (AOM).

How:
Templates, proformas and general policy and procedures are included to allow Clubs to adopt relevant aspects.

The contents of the AOM will enable clubs to:

  • Manage administrative functions
  • Prepare strategic business plans
  • Practice good finance
  • Liaise effectively with relevant parties

The AOM should be referred to as a means to:

  • Identify areas for improvement
  • Identify what areas are already being met
  • Monitor progress and re-evaluate objectives
  • Understand roles and responsibilities
  • Understand roles and responsibilities

We are requesting input from clubs and branches to ensure the content is relevant in today’s changing environment.
To assist, we ask if you could please send any information that you recommend be in the manual to ensure the AOM content is a useful tool across the state.
