Project or Space duplication uses your prior work to create a new setup. The duplicated setup contains the same settings and configurations of the original and enables adjusting previous settings and removing unused features that were in the original. There is no need to redesign an entire setup if the installed hardware is the same and the only changes that need to be made are, for example, the Project name and business hours. Using the duplication feature will greatly decrease the overall programming time. Duplication is a great tool for Project Designers that are consistently providing clients with the same hardware for each installation.

Duplicating retains all information from the original Project or Space, including:

  • Sites
  • Buildings
  • Floors
  • Rooms
  • Controlled spaces
  • Controlled devices
  • Gateways
  • Macros
  • Events

To duplicate a Project or Space:

  1. Select the relevant Project or Space from the left pane of the Kramer Control Manager. (Use the Search feature if necessary.)
  2. Click the Menu Options icon in the center pane tool bar and select Duplicate Project/Space from the dropdown menu.
A new Project/Space is automatically created with a (1) added to the original name. A new Project appears in the left pane and a new Space appears in the center pane.

  3. Edit the duplicated Project/Space as needed, including:
  • Name
  • Business hours
  • Location
  • Delete unnecessary spaces or add new Spaces.
  • Save the changes.

See Creating a New Project more information about editing Projects and Spaces.
