Overview
The release of version 1.5.1 required an update within the code that affected requirements within Android devices. In order to correct this issue, Google Play services within the Android device will need to be updated. Follow the steps below to update Google Play services.
Process
These steps are required in order to access the update icon found in the hidden navigation bar
- Press and hold the Kramer logo on the outer edge of the KT-107
- Enter the passcode Kramer with a capital K
- Choose the option to visit Home page
- Choose the settings icon on the main screen
- Choose the Display option from the list
- Scroll down until you see these two options
- Always hide bottom navigation bar
- Always hide top status bar
- Toggle both options off (White icon should appear on left)
Process Continued
Once the above process has been finished, you can update Google services
- Press and hold the Kramer logo on the outer edge of the KT-107
- Enter the passcode Kramer with a capital K
- Choose the option to visit Home page
- Swipe in a downward motion from the top edge of the KT-107
- Tap on the Alert icon notifying the user that Google Play services are out of date
- Enter Gmail address
- It is recommended using a generic Gmail account for this process. We do not recommend using a personal Gmail account when installing a KT-107 into a customer location.
- Finish the sign in process and choose the Update option for Google Play services
- Swipe down from top of screen once again and select the option indicating that Google Play services were updated
- You will be redirected to the Google Play store
- Search for Kramer Control within the white search area
- Once you have located the Kramer Control app within the Play store choose the option to Update
