Patch release v2.4.3 improves Brain stability by lowering memory usage during publish events, improving error messages that have appeared in logs, removing API server queries to active_offline Brains, and more. Read below for more details on each of the improvements included in the v2.4.3 patch release


  • Improved Brain memory usage during Publish events
    • We found that Brain memory would continue to increase after a publish event even if little to no programming changes were being made
  • Corrected issue where KC Server Brains would not publish changes when offline publish was attempted
  • Corrected issue where KC Server Brains would become unprovisioned if Brain was restarted while Brain state was active_offline
  • Improved the Sync on WAN restore function within Brain where the Brain will no longer attempted a full sync if no changes were made to programming
    • This includes a removal of the attempt to download new devices and new images
  • Improved Offline publishing to block attempts to upload Publishing file from a different Brain installation
  • Improved active_offline Brain state to no longer attempt API server access when this Brain state is set
  • Improved Brain logs to no longer show error message of “Attempting to access state value without a valid state”
