Create

To create a new Team file, select Create in the Team section of the ribbon.

Team File Export window will open:

Prior to exporting, all fields in the Export Settings are required particularly the user ownership. To do this click the User drop down arrow:

“Carve-out” is added to the file name and it can’t be removed. The file path can be changed by clicking the Folder button.

The Sheet Configuration contains all QRTs in the return. You can select the QRTs that you want to export by checking the corresponding boxes.

When including a return worksheet in a carved-out file it can be included ‘with’ or ‘without’ control. A worksheet included ‘with’ control transfers “ownership” of that sheet to that particular team file. Without control selected for a sheet will include that sheet in the team file but the “ownership” is not transferred.
While a sheet is set to “with control” in a team file, that sheet will be locked in any other workbook i.e. the main return workbook and any other team files it is included in.

Some sheets may not be available for assigning “with control” when creating a new Team file, this could be because:
1. The sheet is already assigned control in another team file; or
2. The QRT is read-only, viz. due to being signed-off or by the nature of the sheet e.g. a SCR calculation result sheet

Click Create Team file at the bottom of the window

Once completed, the destination folder where the “Carve Out “ is saved will automatically open:
